As a professional photographer and videographer, capturing a celebrity wedding can be both an exhilarating and challenging experience. It's important to understand that these events come with a lot of attention and scrutiny from fans and media alike. Here are some tips I've learned on how to handle capturing a wedding or event like this.
1. Plan ahead: Before the wedding day, make sure to develop a clear plan for the kind of shots you want to get. This includes doing research on the location or locations. Communicating with the wedding planner, and discussing the schedule with the couple.
2. Respect their privacy: I always ask the couple and event planner for any guidelines for capturing them and their guests who also may be celebrities. Always be sure to get permission before sharing any photos or videos to social media or other platforms.
3. Be discreet: Avoid drawing attention to yourself. This means dressing appropriately, not using noisy equipment, and only using flash when neccessary.
4. Capture the details: Along with the traditional photos, be sure to capture the unique details of the wedding and reception such as decor, flat-lays, entertainment etc...
5. Stay professional: Remember that you are being hired to document a special day. Be on time, communicate clearly with the couple and their team, and deliver high quality work in a timely manner.
Capturing a celebrity wedding can be a great opportunity, so just approach it with professionalism and respect. With careful planning and attention to detail, you can capture beautiful memories that the couple and their friends and family will treasure.
